First let me say I am not an idiot and I am at my wits end with this one! I cannot get this to install. I have a Compaq Presario SR1500NX with an AMD Sempron 3000+ 2ghz, Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2). I, again, cannot get the thing to install the driver that came with the Video Card. Every time I receive 'INF error' ad it states that setup is closing, please install a standard VGA adapter. I just got a new Hard-drive, put Windows XP on it, disabled the onboard video adapter, and enabled the PCI slot (its a PCI card) in BIOS and still nothing.

Somehow, in all of the frey I got it to recognize the card as a 'Visiontek Radeon 7000' (which it is not, it is the 9250, I just opened the box) I also called HP (Compaq) and talked to tech support (less than helpful) who recommended that I update the Chipset, which for some reason wasn't there, then appeared, though never under the name that it should (just a standard via bus) and I have the driver, but it will not show available in device manager. This is the driver that was recommended by the Dell (Compaq) Tech Support. I was also given one that needs to install from the device manager, but it cannot be found, either that or i am highlighting the wrong section.
