Windows Vista Black Screen No Task Manager
So, I'm having this problem which won't let me use my PC. After 'starting windows' I just see a black screen with a cursor, nothing else. I've gone on to so many threads and the solutions either don't work or I can't try so I figured I would post here. Anyway, ctrl alt del isn't an option, it doesn't work.
Safe mode just gets stuck at classpnp.sys. I don't have any installation disk/key (even though I know my win7 Ultimate is genuine, since I had to verify it a few months ago to download something from Microsoft). System restore says there aren't any points to restore it to. I have a spare old PC which may or may not help. Things like startup repair and chkdsk say there aren't any problems. I tried everything in the options of F8 as I boot, no help. What else can be done or will I have to get a new PC?
Thanks to anyone who has read this far and is willing to help me. Actually you can download Windows ultimate 7 ISO and create bootable USB installer, do you still have access to product key windows?
