Directions from Major Airport to Resort Orlando International airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the resort. From the airport, follow signs saying 'Kissimmee via 417' for 3 miles. You will come to Highway 417. Go south to the Landstar Blvd. Turn left on Landstar and proceed to the 6th traffic light. (In the meantime, you will cross the county line where Landstar becomes Buenaventura Blvd.) Turn left at the traffic light on Royal Palm Drive. Lago Vista is 1/2 mile on the right hand side.
I stayed there with my daughter and 3 grandchildren in April 2014. It is not a 4-5 star resort but it worked for us. It is more like an older apartment complex. The units all have a screened porch facing pool, picnic tables and grill area.

Our place was clean and the staff was friendly. The area was maintained. The neighborhood was quite and seemed safe.

The drive to Disney parks was appx. 15 minutes down a tollway that went straight into entrance. Walmart, Walgreens, and Dollar General are close. The only downside was that the office closed early and if you need anything after hours there was no one available. Edited: 11:34 pm, January 31, 2015.
